Several additional speakers at next month's Democratic National Convention were announced by the Democratic National Convention Committee on Monday.
The list of speakers now includes Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who served as the White House Chief of Staff during the first two years of the Obama administration.
Former Virginia Governor Tim Kaine, who is currently running for the Senate, and 2004 Democratic presidential nominee Senator John Kerry, D-Mass., have also been added to the list of speakers.
The convention, which is being held in Charlotte, North Carolina, will also feature remarks by California Attorney General Kamala Harris, Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, and former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland.
Previously announced speakers include former President Bill Clinton, Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren and San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, who will be the keynote speaker.
The convention is scheduled for September 4th through 6th, with President Obama due to accept the Democratic nomination on Thursday at Bank of America Stadium.
