Patrick Schwarzenegger, the 18-year-old son of actor and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, has thrown his weight behind Lady Gaga's Born This Way Foundation. Patrick has shot a PSA for the group, which helps promote acceptance for LGBT youth.
"She was bullied and obviously some people were cruel and mean to her when she was growing up. But I think the world and society accepted who she was. And now her level of fame and success shows other kids that they can really be who they are," said Patrick to Entertainment Tonight of the Monster Mother.
Patrick is following in his father's footsteps as a supporter of LGBT rights. Arnold spoke out against California's law against gay marriage, Proposition 8, telling the Los Angeles Times:
"I learned that you should never ever give up . . . They should never give up. They should be on it and on it until they get it done."
