European Economics Preview: U.K. Public Sector Finance Data Due

Public sector finance from the U.K. and short-term debt auction from Spain are due on Tuesday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 2.00 am ET, Statistics Finland is slated to issue unemployment figures for July. In June, the jobless rate was 7.9 percent.

At 4.30 am ET, the Office for National Statistics is scheduled to publish U.K. public sector finance data for July. Public sector net borrowing is seen at -GBP 2.2 billion compared to June's GBP 14.4 billion in June.

Spain aims to raise between EUR 3.5 billion and EUR 4.5 billion from the auction of treasury bills. The results of the issue is due at 4.30 am ET.

The Confederation of British Industry is slated to release Industrial Trends survey results at 6.00 am ET. The order balance is expected to fall to -10 in August from -6 in July.

At 8.00 am ET, Poland's net CPI is due. Annual inflation is forecast to remain unchanged at 2.3 percent in July.
