Tennis champion Maria Sharapova is trying her hand in the confectionery world with the launch of her new candy company SugarPova this week. The company sells a variety of packaged sweets over the web, with gummy candies starting at $5.99 a pack.
According to a report from Time.com, Maria has taken a number of themes for the candy. Sugary tennis balls will be on offer for "sporty" fans, while red candy lips will be offered as part of the "flirty pack." A "chic" collection, featuring high heels will also be on offer.
During an interview at this year's French Open, Maria said she's thrilled with the line, calling it "the most exciting project that I've ever done . . . because it's my own business, my own investment, my own money."
The candies are also available at the New York high-end fashion outlet Henri Bendel.
