Mariah Carey has released a sneak peek of the music video for, "Triumphant (Get 'Em)," the first single from her forthcoming album due next year. The track features assists from Meek Mill and Rick Ross.
The concept of the video centers on a boxing match in which Mill is one of the boxers. Cutaways feature Mariah singing in a sheer, gold mini-dress.
"Triumphant" was inspired by Carey's husband, Nick Cannon, and his struggle with kidney failure earlier this year. Cannon also directed the vid.
"It's really about having it succeed, and people are hearing it," said Carey's manager, Randy Jackson, in an interview with Billboard.
"Triumphant" debuted at number 42 on the Billboard Dance/Club chart. Three different versions of the single were released, said Jackson, to demonstrate Carey's "ability to cater to multiple audiences and radio formats."
