A famed London recording studio that once played home to the likes of Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello and the Eurythmics may soon be turned into an apartment building. The facility, known as Church Studios is located in North London and is currently owned by "Babylon" singer David Gray.
According to a report from the BBC, Gray has plans to gut the building and turn it into five apartments plus office spaces.
The studio was converted from a church by Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox during the heyday of the Eurythmics in the 1980s.
In a Facebook statement, Stewart says the space holds a lot of memories, but it's never been profitable: "It has so many memories for me. Not just recording sessions. I would host evening soirees with poets, philosophers, musicians, etc. . . . Dylan would turn up with his band and hold court, or Joni Mitchell would play drums! Things have changed now."
