Queens of the Stone Age have resumed work on their sixth studio album. In a post to their official Facebook page, the band wrote simply "Recording," which immediately garnered thousands of "likes."
The band mentioned the LP in 2011, when Josh Homme updated fans on the album's progress saying: "Locked away in the desert. & sh*t yeah. it. sounds. f****n. killer."
Last year he also hit Facebook saying that they were "deep into makin' [the] new album." Things have, however, been relatively quiet from the QOTSA camp since. Homme explained the delay in a BBC interview in 2011:
"We're at a weird moment where we really don't feel like we have anything to prove. We just want to play to the people that are into us and we want to play right at them."
