Nicki Minaj has been confirmed as a judge on season 12 of American Idol, according to a report from Us Weekly. One source said that the rapper is "100% confirmed to judge" on the upcoming season of the program.
"I'm not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it," another insider told the magazine. "A few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening."
Minaj is the latest judge to be confirmed, after Mariah Carey, and following the departure of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. Rumors suggest Randy Jackson may slide out of a judging role and into a mentoring role, leaving another spot to be filled.
Us previously reported that Nick Jonas is under consideration for that spot.
"I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol," Jonas wrote on Twitter.
