Extending late Asian session's downward trading, the Australian dollar fell to a 5-day low of 1.0415 against the U.S. dollar at 8:40 am ET Wednesday. On the downside, the aussie may target 1.04 level. At yesterday's close, the pair was worth 1.0489.
