Kool & the Gang are one of the many bands to be featured on the latest iteration of the Rock Band franchise, Rock Band Blitz. Harmonix, the game's creator, says PlayStation users should expect the release on August 28, while Xbox users should expect it the following day.
The game features 25 tracks including "Jungle Boogie" from Kool, "Spoonman" from Soundgarden, "Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom-Lay Boom)" from Shinedown, "Always" from Blink-182, "Pumped up Kicks" by Foster the People, "Give It Away" from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and "A Little Less 'Sixteen Candles,' A Little More 'Touch Me'" from Fall Out Boy.
My Chemical Romance, Pink, Maroon 5 and fun. are also featured.
Rock Band Blitz retails for $14.99. Like Rock Band Underground, the game does not require the purchase of any special instruments.
