Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' divorce has been finalized by a judge in New York City. The news comes just a month and a half after Holmes sideswiped Cruise with the filing and sought sole custody of their daughter Suri.
The terms of the couple's divorce have remained private, but the pair entered negotiations almost immediately after Holmes completed the filings. Within days she and Suri were moved out of the couple's Manhattan apartment and into a new building, also in New York City.
A source close to Cruise confirmed that the arrangement is finalized and that Tom is happy to move on with his life:
"Tom is very happy and relieved that he is moving forward," says the source. "His priority is being a good father and this settlement will make sure that continues."
The pair began dating in 2005 and were married in 2006.
