Centrotherm Photovoltaics Discontinues Operations At Vienna Branch

Centrotherm photovoltaics AG (CPHVF.PK) announced that as part of its ongoing reorganization process, it is continuing its concentration on its core business.

In a further step, the operations and financial backing of the Vienna branch, centrotherm power solutions GmbH, are being discontinued. The 38 staff will be affected by this move, the company said. There is no longer any positive forecast for the continued existence of centrotherm power solutions GmbH.

Hewlett-Packard Co. said Wednesday after the markets closed that its second quarter profit fell 32% from last year, hurt by lower revenue and weaker margins amid a slump in PC sales. However, the company's quarterly earnings per share, excluding items, came in above analysts' expectations, but its quarterly revenue fell short of analysts' forecast.
