Steve Winwood has confirmed plans for a deluxe edition of his 1980's classic Arc of a Diver. The re-release will hit stores in the U.K. on September 24 and will include the U.S. radio edit of the title track, along with a 2010 edit of "Spanish Dancer" and an instrumental version of "Night Train."
In addition to the previously unreleased music, the new edition will also feature line notes from journalist David Hepworth from the BBC. Upon its release in 1980, Arc of a Diver shot to number three on the Billboard 200 chart. It's main single "While You See A Chance" also rose to number seven in the U.S.
It was Winwood's second solo studio release and was recorded by the keyboard legend at his home in Gloucestershire, England. He played all of the instruments on the album, including acoustic and electric guitars, bass, keyboards, synthesizers, drums and percussion.
