OPKO Health Granted NASA Contract - Quick Facts

OPKO Health Inc. (OPK: Quote) said it has been awarded a contract and selected to participate in a development project directed by NASA to implement the OPKO point-of-care diagnostic platform (Claros-1) with the objective of in-orbit use on the International Space Station.

OPKO noted that it will provide a panel of assays, including Vitamin D for bone metabolism, immune health, and inflammation to be used on its Claros-1 portable analyzer.

Cisco Results Top Estimates

Cisco Systems, Inc., the world's largest computer networking gear maker, said Wednesday after the markets closed that its third quarter profit rose 14.5% from last year, helped by higher sales and a tax benefit. The company's quarterly earnings per share, excluding items, also came in above analysts' expectations as did its quarterly sales.
