ViewPoint Financial Group, Inc. (VPFG), the holding company for ViewPoint Bank, said Monday that it plans to repurchase up to about 1,978,871 of its total common outstanding shares.
This stock repurchase program is open-ended and commences on August 27. It allows the company to repurchase its shares from time to time in the open market and in negotiated transactions, depending upon market conditions. This repurchase program follows the company's previous stock repurchase program, which expires on August 30, under which 1,100,100 shares were repurchased.
The company also noted that its Board of Directors have authorized the management to enter into a trading plan with Sandler O'Neill & Partners, LP
