The Conference Board's Leading Index for Australia increased in June by 0.2 percent, the board announced Friday.

The coincident index increased by 0.1 percent for June.

The agency said gains in building approvals, rural goods exports and money supply more than offset negative contributions from stock prices and yield spread, and sent the leading index to its second straight gain.

The coincident index, which measures current economic activity, posted what the CB said were "widespread" gains, albeit small ones.
