Soundgarden is prepping the release of the band's latest album, King Animal. The LP, the band's first collection of new material since re-uniting in 2010, is due November 13.
Speaking with Rolling Stone, guitarist Kim Thayil said the album "re-establishes that we still rock, we're still heavy, and we're still a little weird."
He also let slip a few song titles, including "Blood on the Valley Floor" and "A Thousand Days Before," the latter of which Thayil explained is "a little Indian thing and some chicken-pickin.' We call it 'country and eastern.'"
In other Soundgarden news, the group will contribute a track, "Spoonman," to the latest iteration of the Rock Band franchise, Rock Band Blitz. Harmonix, the game's creator, says PlayStation users should expect the release on August 28, while Xbox users should expect it the following day.
