Florence Welch has revealed plans to take a year off before recording the follow up to her most recent album Ceremonials. During a recent interview with Style magazine, the "Dog Days are Over" rocker said she will use the time to recover from a vocal injury and prep new material.

"There's a big 'take a year off' plan. The record company have put no pressure on me for the next album. They've said I can have as long as I want," she told the magazine.

Flo has canceled several high profile gigs recently due to a vocal injury including Spain's Benicassim and Portugal's Optimus Festival:

"I actually felt something go pop or snap, or whatever. Whatever it is, it was very frightening. I had to really adjust because it happened in the middle of a show," she explained.
