French hotel group Accor SA (ACRFF.PK,ACRFY.PK) posted first-half net loss, Group share of 532 million euros, as against a profit of 41 million euros a year ago. However, EBIT improved to 212 million euros, from year-ago period's 204 million euros.
Revenue for the 2012 first half remained almost flat at 2.72 billion euros, and up 3.6% on a like-for-like basis, compared with last year.
The company's full-year EBIT target stands at between 510 million euros and 530 million euros. In addition, Accor said it is now committed, by end-2016, to operating a room base 40% under franchise agreements, 40% under management contracts and 20% in owned or leased hotels.
