NZ Dollar Slides To New Multi-week Lows Against Greenback And Yen

The New Zealand dollar edged sharply lower against its major opponents in early European deals Wednesday.

The kiwi plunged to 63.06 against the yen, its lowest level in August. The New Zealand dollar also slipped to nearly a 5-week low of 0.8027 against the greenback around 3:30 am ET.

The New Zealand currency edged lower against the currencies of Australia and Europe in early deals Wednesday. The kiwi is presently quoted at 1.2916 against the aussie and 1.5634 against the euro, down from previous highs of 1.2882 and 1.5592, respectively.

On the downside, the New Zealand dollar may find target levels at 62.60 against the yen, 0.7990 against the greenback, 1.2940 against the Australian dollar and 1.57 against the euro.
