Canada's GDP data for the second quarter is set for release at 8:30 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the loonie showed mixed trading against other major currencies. While the loonie eased against the yen, it fell against the euro. Against the aussie, the loonie recovered. On the other hand, the loonie gained against the greenback.
At 8:25 am ET, the loonie was worth 0.9898 against the greenback, 79.26 against the yen, 1.0234 against the aussie and 1.2491 against the euro.
