Splunk Inc. (SPLK: Quote) reported a second quarter non-GAAP EPS loss of $0.01 after the close Thursday, compared to the loss of $0.13 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for a loss of $0.04. Revenues totaled $44.5 million, up from $26 million last year.
The company expects to report third quarter revenues of $45 million to $47 million, while analysts currently expect $44.66 million. For the full year 2013, Splunk now expects revenues of $183 million to $186 million, which is above the consensus estimate of $178.28 million.
Splunk has gapped open sharply higher Friday morning and is now up 3.91 at $34.41. The stock has jumped to a 3-monthhigh.
