Air Lease Names Carol Forsyte EVP, General Counsel

Commercial aircrafts lessor, Air Lease Corp.(AL: Quote) Friday named Carol Forsyte as its executive vice president, general counsel, corporate secretary and chief compliance officer, effective September 17, 2012.

Carol, who previously served at Motorola in related positions, brings in immense experience in areas covering SEC filings, debt and equity capital market transactions and corporate governance.

Carol's appointment will also help reduce the company's legal costs Her experience in the legal department of a multi-national company will help the company as it embarks on a phase of rapid growth and customer base expansion, it added.

Previously, Carol served as board secretary, chief governance and SEC counsel of Motorola Mobility Inc. She also spent 15 years at Motorola in various senior legal positions, including corporate vice president, law, corporate & securities.

Shares of Air Lease closed Friday at $20.62, down 9 cents or 0.43%, on the NYSE. In after hours trading the stock gained 1 cent or 0.04%.
