Florence and the Machine have been announced as performers this fall at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's second annual Art + Film Gala.
The event will be one of the last Florence and the Machine performances for some time, as frontwoman Florence Welch told Style magazine that she plans to take a twelve-month hiatus before starting work on the band's next studio album.
The 2011 gala raised $3 million toward LACMA's bid to bolster the presence of film at the museum.
Leonardo DiCaprio and museum trustee Eva Chow are back as co-chairs for the October 27 party, and Gucci is again the leading sponsor.
Stanley Kubrick and Los Angeles artist Ed Ruscha will be the honorees, with Steven Spielberg offering a tribute to Kubrick, who died in 1999. Last year's gala honorees were John Baldessari and Clint Eastwood.
