Whole Foods announced this week a recall on a ricotta cheese salad product and a dog food due to possible listeria and salmonella contamination.
The products in question include Salata Frescolina brand Forever Cheese and Breeder's Choice AvoDerm Natural Lamb Meal and Brown Rice Adult Dog Formula.
The recalls, announced September 12, take effect in 21 states as well as Washington, D.C. Thus far, fourteen illnesses have been reported in connection the cheese. There is, however, no word as to the origin of the possible listeria and salmonella outbreaks.
