New Zealand will see the August results for its Performance of Services Index; it saw a score of 53.1 in July.

Australia will provide August figures for new motor vehicle sales; in July, they were up 5.0 percent on year but down 0.8 percent on month.

Finally, the stock markets in Malaysia and Japan will be off on holiday on Monday, for Malaysia Day and Respect For the Aged Day, respectively. Both will re-open on Tuesday.
