Singapore is on Monday scheduled to release August trade data, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. Singapore saw a trade surplus of SGD 3.47 billion in July, as exports came in at SGD42.23 billion and imports were at SGD38.76 billion.
New Zealand will see the August results for its Performance of Services Index; it saw a score of 53.1 in July.
Australia will provide August figures for new motor vehicle sales; in July, they were up 5.0 percent on year but down 0.8 percent on month.
Finally, the stock markets in Malaysia and Japan will be off on holiday on Monday, for Malaysia Day and Respect For the Aged Day, respectively. Both will re-open on Tuesday.
