Slovakia's inflation, as measured by the harmonized index of consumer prices, remained unchanged at 3.8 percent in August, the latest figures from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed Friday.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose 4.9 percent annually in August. Prices of clothing and footwear increased 1.5 percent. Transport costs increased at a faster pace of 7 percent while the rate of increase in the utility prices slowed to 3.8 percent.
On a monthly basis, the HICP remained unchanged for a second consecutive month.
