Kenny Chesney has released the third single, "El Cerrito Place," from his latest album, Welcome to the Fishbowl. It is the follow-up to "Come Over," the second single from the album.
"El Cerrito Place" was written by Keith Gattis and recorded by Charlie Robinson in 2004. Speaking with The Boot, Kenny said he was drawn to the emotional content of the track:
"There is a certain longing in this song that in a lot of ways I really relate to. It's about wanting something that's obviously not there . . . this searching that we all have for love and lust, and someone that's not in your life anymore."
"'El Cerrito Place' has that certain insanity about it that I think is very relatable. There's searching and longing that all of us have inside. I've felt every bit of emotion that the character in that song deals with," he added.
