Sally Struthers was arrested early Thursday, September 13, for driving intoxicated. The 65-year-old actress according to police was arrested on Route 1 in Ogunquit, Maine at 12:20 A.M.
Struthers was taken to the police station, and was charged with OUI (operating under the influence) which is a misdemeanor. She was then released on $160 cash bail. A court date has been set for some time in December.
A representative for Struthers spoke on her behalf: "Sally is working and she is fine and she loves The Ogunquit Playhouse and her yearly time in Ogunquit. We deny these charges."
The actress is supposed to be appearing as Roz in the musical "9 to 5" at the Ogunquit Playhouse through September 15.
