Drake, Kanye West, and 2 Chainz dominated the recently announced BET Awards nominations, as the trio combined for over 20 nods.
West's name seemingly shows up in every category, as he is nominated for 'Best Hip Hop Video' for "Mercy," 'Best Live Performer,' 'Lyricist of the Year,' 'Producer of the Year' and 'MVP of the Year' just to name a few.
2 Chainz finds himself nominated for over a dozen awards, including 'Best Hip Hop Video' and 'Track of the Year' for his collaboration with Drake, "No Lie." He also garnered nominations for 'MVP of the Year' and 'Rookie of the Year.'
Drake also finds himself nominated in the 'Best Hip Hop Video' category for his track with Lil Wayne "HYFR." Drake also earned nods in the 'Best Club Banger' and 'CD of the Year' categories.
The BET Awards will be hosted by Mike Epps and air on October 7. The taping takes place on September 29 at Atlanta Civic Center in Atlanta. Recently deceased hip-hop mogul Chris Lighty will be honored at the event.
