Allied Electronics Signs Distribution Agreement With Siemens

Allied Electronics, a trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (ECM.L), said that it recently signed a distribution agreement with Siemens Corporation.

Siemens Corporation is a U.S. subsidiary of Siemens AG, a global powerhouse in electronics and electrical engineering operating in the industry, energy, healthcare, and infrastructure and cities sectors.

Allied is now an authorized distributor for Siemens' low-voltage products, including motor controls, pilot devices and communication devices. Siemens will appear for the first time in Allied's 2013 Catalog, which will be released in October.

There was a mixed performance on Wall Street on Friday. Shares suffered an early decline, as investors continued to express worries about the Federal Reserve. After reporting a sharp drop in new orders for manufactured durable goods in the previous month, the Commerce Department released a report on Friday showing that durable goods orders rebounded by more than anticipated in the month of April. The report said durable goods orders surged up by 3.3 percent in April after tumbling by a revised 5.9 percent in March.
