The Australian dollar extended its previous session's downtrend against the New Zealand dollar during early Asian deals on Tuesday. The Aussie dropped to a fresh multi-month low of 1.2665 versus the kiwi at around 7:00 pm ET, which may be compared to Monday's closing value of 1.2685. Currently, the pair is trading near 1.2679.
The Reserve Bank of Australia is scheduled to release its September board meeting minutes in the upcoming hours.
