Adele will sing the theme song for Skyfall, the latest edition in the James Bond film franchise. Rumors swirled that the "Rolling in the Deep" star might be working on the track after she was seen entering London's Abbey Road Studios, where the soundtrack is being recorded, earlier this month.

Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, who performed the theme song "You Know My Name" for "Casino Royale" recently spoke with MTV News on the rumor and said he was all for it.

"I can't think of a better one," he said. "She's phenomenal and it's nice, in a day and age where so many vocals are fixed by computers, that the biggest album of last year was somebody who sings for real."

Adele is currently expecting her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki. She is also currently working on the follow-up to her smash sophomore release 21, and says it will have a "lighter" tone.
