The euro dropped against other major currencies in the early Asian session on Tuesday.
The euro hit a 5-day low of 1.2133 against the franc, compared to Monday's close of 1.2166.
The euro also declined to as low as 0.8066 against the pound, 102.87 against the yen and 1.3093 against the greenback.
