Snowboarding icon Shaun White was arrested over the weekend in Nashville on suspicion of public intoxication. The two-time Olympic gold medalist was in Music City attending the wedding of musician Patrick Carney and was staying at the Loew's Vanderbilt Hotel when he was seen causing a stir.
According to people.com, White pulled a fire alarm in the hotel causing all of the guests to evacuate in the early hours on Sunday morning. He then reportedly attempted to flee the scene when he was pursued by another guest and apprehended. He reportedly sustained minor injuries in the incident and was transported to an area hospital where he received treatment and was released.
Sources told the tabloid that White appeared very intoxicated and smelled strongly of alcohol. Others at the scene, however, reported that the 26-year-old star was "friendly and nice to everyone" at the wedding. Thus far there is no word on the incident from White.
