President Barack Obama and Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney are in a statistical tie in the battleground state of New Hampshire, according to the results of an American Research Group poll released Tuesday.
While the poll showed that 48 percent of registered New Hampshire voters support Obama compared to the 46 percent that support Romney, the president's 2-point lead is well within the poll's margin of error.
Among registered New Hampshire voters that said they will definitely vote in November, Obama has an even narrower 48 percent to 47 percent lead.
Obama has a 47 percent to 43 percent lead among undeclared voters and also has strong support among women. Meanwhile, Romney has a 51 percent to 43 percent lead among men.
The survey of 558 registered New Hampshire voters was conducted September 15th through 17th and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.2 percentage points.
