Canadian gold miner, Monument Mining Ltd. (MMY.V: Quote) on Tuesday named Todd Dahlman as chief operating officer, along with two other professionals. The new positions are Malaysian based and will focus on the recently expanded Selinsing Gold Mine, as well as on developing the Mengapur polymetalic project.
Todd Dahlman has two and a half decades of mining experience ranging across engineering, technical, maintenance, business improvement and mine operations. He has worked with several mining companies including Rio Tinto and Shell Canada.
Robert Baldock , president and chief executive officer of Monument Mining stated, "I am very pleased to welcome Todd to join Monument's senior management team at this important stage when company moves forward to manage and develop multiple projects in Malaysia including the Mengapur polymetalic project."
Other key technical professionals were recently recruited by the company including: Ian Dunlop , general processing plant manager, and John Shaw-Walker, general security manager.
Shares of Monument Mining closed Tuesday at C$0.45 down 1.10% on the TSXV.
