The Japanese yen extended its gains against the pound in the New York session on Wednesday.
The yen is now trading at a 2-day high of 127.33 against the pound, up from a new multi-month low of 128.87 hit at 2:40 am ET. If the yen rises further, it may target 126.00 level. The pair was worth 128.04 at yesterday's close.
