Katy Perry has reportedly signed on to appear as part of a fundraising event for President Barack Obama. The concert will take place at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on October 7 and will be part of a fundraising series titled "30 Days of Victory."
Tickets for the event will be sold exclusively through President Obama's campaign website and will cost $250. The show will be immediately followed by an exclusive dinner hosted by Dreamworks CEO Jeff Katzenberg that will carry an entry fee of $25,000.
Katy is just one of a host of other pop and rock artists that have signed on to support the President's reelection campaign. The Foo Fighters recently dedicated their track "My Hero" to the effort and The National also hosted a fundraising concert in New York City. Jay-Z and wife Beyoncé also reportedly hosted a fundraising dinner and earned over four million for the president, says nme.com.
