Symetra Life Insurance Compamy (SYA) on Wednesday named Jeff Farmer as its Eastern Region Sales vice president at its Benefits Division.
Jeff replaces Bill Edrington, who recently transitioned to a new role as managing director of Marketing and Business Development for Symetra's Benefits Division.
In his role, Jeff will be leading the team that drives sales of Symetra medical stop-loss and group life and disability income insurance through benefits brokers and third-party administrators in 18 eastern and central states.
He would report to Rick Lyons, vice president of sales and distribution at the Symetra Benefits Division.
Farmer was previously with Mercer Health & Benefits for over a decade as partner and sales leader for its South Market. His work at Mercer included client consulting, office management, regional management, and product and service development.
Shares of Symetra Financial are currently trading at $13.14 down 5 cents or 0.38% on the NYSE.
