Against its Australian counterpart, the European single currency extended its previous session's downtrend in New York mid-day deals on Thursday.
The euro dropped to a fresh multi-day low of 1.2436 versus the Aussie at about 12:00 pm ET, which may be compared to yesterday's closing value of 1.2455. As of now, the euro-Aussie pair is trading near 1.2443.
