During early Asian trading on Friday, the US currency edged down against major European currencies. As of now, the greenback is trading near 1.2978 against the euro, 0.9328 versus the Swiss franc and 1.6222 against the British pound from previous session's highs of 1.2921, 0.9358 and 1.6173, respectively.
