Canada's consumer price index for August and the wholesale sales data for July have been made public at 8:30 am ET.
The Canadian dollar edged lower against its major rivals following the data. As of 8:34 am ET, the loonie was trading at 0.9758 against the greenback, 1.2678 against the euro and 80.17 against the yen.
