Dave Grohl has released several teasers for his forthcoming Sound City Studios documentary, which feature interviews with artists remembering their time recording in the legendary California studio.
The clips boast sit-downs with the Pixies' Frank Black, Metallica's Lars Ulrich and producers Rick Rubin and Trent Reznor, and are currently circulating the web.
The film, which is directed by Grohl, takes a look at the studio that's hosted several rock groups, such as Tom Petty, Neil Young, Metallica, Cheap Trick, Rage Against the Machine and Nirvana.
"Sound City is a film about America's greatest unsung recording studio," Grohl wrote in a handwritten public letter. "Deep in California's sunburnt San Fernando Valley, tucked away behind the train tracks and dilapidated warehouses, it was the birthplace of legend."
Sound City Studios was constructed in 1972 and closed its doors as a commercial studio in May 2011.
