The updated version of "The Great Gatsby," from director Baz Luhrmann ("Moulin Rouge," "Romeo + Juliet") has been pushed back from Christmas Day of this year to May 10, 2013. A rep for Warner Bros. explained the decision in a statement:
"Audiences have been looking forward to Baz Luhrmann's film adaptation of one of the most beloved books of all time, and we felt this beautifully extravagant and dramatic film would be a perfect way for us to kick off our summer slate."
The 3D movie, based on the 1925 novel from writer Scott F. Fitzgerald, stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan and Joel Edgerton.
DiCaprio stars in the lead role with Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan and Maguire as Nick Carraway. It was shot in Luhrmann's native Australia.
