J.K. Rowling, writer of the "Harry Potter" book series, has put up her home, in the Merchiston area of Edinburgh, for sale for a price of roughly $3.7 million.

The house features five double bedrooms, a drawing room, a summerhouse, landscaped gardens and its own library. The brochure calls it "an exceptional detached family house." Rowling moved into it in 2009.

Other highlights, according to the brochure, are that it is situated in "one of Edinburgh's most exclusive conservation areas," it has a "discreet landscaped and walled garden" and has been redesigned to "complement retained Victorian period features."

Rowling's first book geared toward adults, "The Casual Vacancy," hit shelves earlier this week.
