During New York afternoon trading on Friday, the Japanese yen advanced against the currencies of U.S., Australia and the Canada.
At present, the yen is trading near 78.12 against the US dollar, 81.75 versus the Aussie and 80.00 against the loonie from previous session's lows of 78.29, 82.33 and 80.40, respectively.
