Natural Alternatives International Inc. (NAII), Friday reported fourth-quarter net income of $0.8 million or $0.11 per share, compared to $3.1 million or $0.44 per share last year.
Profit for the quarter dropped as last year the company recorded a tax benefit of $3.1 million compared to a tax provision of 0.2 million this year.
Net sales for the quarter was $20.9 million, up from $14.4 million last year. Sales growth for the quarter reflects the $3 million of beta-alanine raw material sales and increased contract manufacturing sales from new and existing customers.
