Kellie Pickler, who recently shaved her head in support of a friend who's battling cancer, is prepping for the Opry Goes Pink show at the Grand Ole Opry.

The Opry has teamed with Women Rock for the Cure for the event which includes performances from Pickler, Jana Kramer, the Farm and others. Additionally, activities honoring breast cancer survivors will take place.

"Cancer does not discriminate. If this compels even one person to change their mentality toward waiting until the age of 40 for their mammogram . . ." Pickler told TheBoot.com of her new doo, before her cancer-ridden friend Summer Holt interjected, "then it will be worth it."

The Opry Goes Pink for the fourth consecutive year on October 30. Five dollars from every ticket sold is donated to Women Rock for the Cure.
